The Rama Prayer Series are monotypes, etchings and paintings with the words ‘Rama Rama’ written repeatedly in Hindi. Lord Rama is a Hindu deity who embodies the essence of spirituality. There is a centuries old Hindu tradition of writing the name of Rama repeatedly as a spiritual exercise to strengthen the mind. As a student of art history and color theory, I have developed this series in a variety of mediums as a synthesis of meditation, color and technique.
